Scoil Aireagail offers Evening Study to all students in the school and runs from 4pm-6m Monday, Tuesday, Thursday.

The Evening Study Programme is an ideal opportunity for students to develop a good study routine and avail of a quiet distraction free environment to maximize their study time regarding doing their homework and study. This is of immense benefit to all students to assist with their individual learning and completion of school related tasks. Structured supervised study is an integral part of any students’ success.

Scoil Aireagail is fortunate to have a highly motivated Parents ‘Association. Membership of the association is open to parents/guardians of all students attending the school. The members have contributed to the formulation of school policies and school improvement plans. In recent times the association has organized highly successful events such as a ‘Clothes Recycling Programme’ and ‘Tractor Run’. These events have raised funds which will go towards improving our facilities and school building.

The Department of Education and Skills requires all schools to engage in a self-reflection or a School Self Evaluation (SSE) process. School self-evaluation is a collaborative, inclusive, and reflective process of internal school review.

It involves gathering information from a range of sources, and then making judgements and action plans based on the evidence gathered. Schools are required to devise a School Improvement Plan (SIP) that contains a summary of the areas for improvement identified as part of the SSE process.

The SSE report and SIP sets out clearly what needs to be done to further improve the work of the school.

Please see our SIP documents below:

Provision Mapping

Provision mapping can be described as a self-evaluation and auditing process which allows schools to identify how well provision for students matches need and recognise gaps in provision and areas of real strength.

What is a provision map?

A provision map is a document that shows interventions, support and additional staffing offered to learners within an educational setting, which differs from the curriculum. Provision maps offer an insight into the overview and provision provided to those learners requiring additional support.
